What do Hungarian companies think about flexible work solutions 2007-10-03, 15:10:18

The Hungarian partnership has completed a survey among 100 SMEs in Bekes County (South Great Plain Region) about their attitude towards flexible work forms and the utility of the training courses provided for the young mothers participating in the project in the light of their position on the labour market. The results of the survey are available on the website under the menu Gender Equity / Documents.

COMPASS Conference 2007-06-15, 11:09:18

"Directions and Good Practices in Supporting Gender Equality on the Labour Market" - the final conference of the COMPASS transnational partnership will take place in Budapest on the 26th June, 2007. Besides presenting the COMPASS partnership, the program includes presentations about tools and solutions in supporting work-life balance and flexible employment. The presentations will be followed by round-table discussion.

Hungarian government supports telework 2007-03-01, 11:32:38
Companies and public institutions can apply for government subsidies when creating new telework positions or substituting existing workplaces with telework. The subsidy is given to the company in form of salary and contributions to the employee for 6 months and contribution to training costs.The company is obliged to keep the employee for minimum 6 months after the subsidized period. The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs wants to incentivates telework  in order to modernize work culture and to support the diffusion of flexible working solutions.

A survey among 100 PMEs in Bekes County has been completed by the Hungarian DP. The aim of the survey is to analyse SMEs behaviour regarding the employment of women with children and the use of alternative working forms. The results of the survey will be published on http://www.eselybolcsodeje.org.

Survey: Problems in integrating people into the labour market 2007-02-02, 11:37:45
Within the project "Connected Services for Integrating Young Mothers into the Labour Market" in Estonia, a survey about the integration into the labour market was finished. The survey was done in Viljandi County (from november-december 2006) where over 30 representatives of the local governments and socail specialist were interviewed. The main objectives of the survey were to find out the main target groups who are in unequal situation in entering the labour market (main concern on women with young children), to find out the main reasons why they are less competitive, also to map the local governments` actions in improving the situations, and to analyse the cooperation relations among different institutions in integrating people into the labour market. Additional attention in the survey was paid on the concept of a case-manager to analyze the possibility to implement the system in Viljandi County. The COMPASS partnership participated in the 21st Plus International Budapest Maraton to promote and to give visibility to our project and raise awareness about the problems regarding equal opportunities on the labour market.
